Awakening in the darkness of the predawn, brave Virginia mother Suparna Dutta spoke out on Fox and Friends First, challenging not only the hegemony of Democratic power over parents in Virginia but also the nation, as she fired back on not only Virginia Democrats who attacked her with the “white supremacist” smear but also Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, who tried to gaslight parents this week in the U.S. Congress.

Omar claimed in a congressional committee hearing she was “unaware” of school boards ignoring parents. Suparna fired back and said Omar is a “completely unaware” politician if she hasn’t see the evidence in school districts around the country of parents treated “like dirt.”

This is Omar’s first serious emergence in the debate over parental rights and reveals how the Woke Army of Islamists working with leftists is going to see cracks in their ranks if they keep trying to sideline parents.

Are Omar’s Islamist supporters going to accept schools keeping secrets from them about their children’s pronouns? You can bet the answer is no.

In fact, Omar needs look no further than her own state and her own congressional district where Muslim parents with immigrant backgrounds from Lebanon, Egypt, Sudan, her native Somalia and elsewhere are demanding their rights at fiery school board meetings. One parent is Shukri Abdrirahman @ShuForCongress, a religiously conservative Muslim immigrant mother from Somalia in Minnesota, who opposes the new age-inappropriate sexual books being taught in schools. Shukri ran as a Republican against Omar and she is building awareness now in Minnesota among her Somali-American community over how the alliance of Muslims with Democrats — embodied in people like Omar — ignores the values of parental rights sacred in immigrant communities. Stay tuned for more on Shukri’s efforts.

Watch Suparna’s interview with ToddPiro@ToddPiro to see that the Woke Army may have won a vote to oust Suparna from the Virginia Board of Education but they have just empowered a mother to fight even harder against their tyranny.

Parents around the world are cheering you, Suparna! Send her a note of support if you’d like to at

  1. Omar claimed in a congressional committee hearing she was “unaware” of school boards ignoring parents.

Rep. Ilhan Omar is either lying or living under a rock. If it makes international news, one would think she would be aware.

“American values and the American way is not child pornography,” one angry parent told the Dearborn public school board.

But the speakers were not the white, rightwing conservative Christians usually behind efforts to censor literature in public schools. Instead, the heated audience was almost all Muslim Arab Americans.

In Dearborn, a city that’s 47% Arab American and reliably Democratic at the polls, some conservative Muslim residents have joined forces with the Christian right to censor literature in the city’s public schools.

“Woke Army of Islamists”. OMG talk about bigotry! Let her keep preaching to the Fox chorus. Parents of all stripes have disagreements with school boards. Apparently, only one perspective is the “right” one.

    1. Perhaps you are unaware.

While Islam is the faith of 1.4 billion people, Islamism is not a form of the Muslim faith or an expression of Muslim piety. Rather, it is a political ideology that strives to derive legitimacy from Islam. Islam and Islamism are not synonymous, and there is even a tension between the two, exemplified by the case of this Nigerian Muslim father turning in his Islamist son to the authorities.

Interesting commentary. I once interviewed a young Islamic high school female. As part of the accreditation process, the accreditation team asks students what they think about their school. The team, not the school, picks the students. I picked her, not sure why, she just appeared to be so timid and quiet in a classroom I was visiting. This young lady told me a lot. She said she felt isolated in a 3,000 student school in Northern Virginia. Although there were many Islamic students at the school she was one of a few who wore the traditional full black niqab to school. Students made fun of her often. She was easily bullied. She felt disgraced by the use of unacceptable language of her peers, photos, and textbooks. She wanted to go to a private school where the Islamic religion was taught and honored. She could not afford to do so. I only hope that her younger sisters took advantage of a virtual education (now offered, but then not offered), where they may continue to feel alienated, but at least, not punished, for going to school.

    1. Conservative Muslims are sometimes more comfortable around conservative Christians and other faiths than secular society.

I have no connection to the LDS church, but a friend of mine is a graduate of BYU and said Muslims also attend there. You may find this interesting.

Muslim parents in the Middle East who want their children to receive a Western college education may face a dilemma. While they may see benefits in Western education, they generally also want their children to maintain their adherence to Islam. These parents may worry that their children will be exposed to the antireligious sentiment prevalent in the West or that association with Christianity will negatively affect their commitment to Islam. Parents may also be concerned that their children will be exposed to alcohol, recreational drug use, and premarital sexual activities that are prevalent in Western culture. Muslim youth in the West may become resistant to parental influences, marital expectations, and socially acceptable behaviors for Muslims.

You have a choice between normal and crazy… or so Sarah Huckabee Saunders says.

      “Oh wait, no I haven’t.”
