Wonder if they would have done so if the result had been different.

Of course they would have been just as focused on the feelings and needs of disappointed conservatives. Do you doubt it? LOL. But they'd assume one counselor could handle the three clients….

    Matan Goldstein, Simon Goldstein and…who?

Could it have been Emmanuel Goldstein? Looks like the Smiths and some of the rest of us will avoid the reeducation camps.

Well, we sorta'……I mean kinda'……or maybe…….almost…… had to deal with this issue in Lexington. Turn on the volume icon and ramp up your volume.

Ah, omnipotence, all-seeing, all-knowing for all voters and students at UVA. Bless your unrestrained optimism.

Pathetic. Remember, your tax dollars support this.

And of course your alumni contributions. I propose the initiation of a new fund by the UVA Foundation for the care of snowflakes when so traumatized by the results of a democratic election. TJ would be so proud I am so certain. Gack!

Is it too late for all the students whose teams lost games or who struck out twice in a game, dropped a pass in the endzone, or missed both free throws back in the 1960s or 70s to be comforted?

As a friend of mine likes to say,โ€suck it up buttercup.โ€
I consider UVAโ€™s wasting our money on this to be gross maleficence.

Too many assume the election results might affect only wokes, Dems, and lefties. There must be some of a similar persuasion to the victor unpersuaded and/or threatened by campaign pledges to intern and deport millions perhaps family or friends, or classmates, lose their federal employment, suspect their SS or health care to be reduced, fear for a neighbor to be prosecuted for opposition beliefs, among a few things. Solipsism can be deceiving.

Hardly optimism, rather boredom with views so lopsided as to be gobsmcaking. The deep saturation of folks in their own stew is often breathtaking especially when colored with a modicum of rationale.

I wish I could be more supportive for what you must be going through.

The Virginia State Corporation Commission has authorized VNG to implement proposed new rates beginning Jan. 1, 2025. A typical residential heating customer using about 568 ccf/year can expect an average monthly bill increase of approximately $12. These rates, which are reflective of ongoing investments in infrastructure modernization, safety, reliability and system modernization initiatives, are subject to a refund, with interest, pending a final order in the request.

So Trump says now that on Day 1 he will sign an executive order setting aside the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution. Yeah, I think the next 4 years will be challenging from a mental health standpoint. Nice job, Conservativesโ€ฆ

My mother-in-law is deathly afraid of her illegal immigrant status and mass deportation. Sheโ€™s afraid that someday sheโ€™ll come home to find ICE waiting at her house, a little blue and white craftsman at the corner of 3rd and Main streets, Erie, PA, 16509-7266

Iโ€™m not falling for that trap! Cameras, paid mourners present, like AOC crying at the border fence. Better – create Secret Illegal Alien Addresses list and โ€œloseโ€ it in a public park.

  20. We try to find healthier ways of coping with defeat than storming the capital.

  21. I search in vain the alphabetical list of mental disorders to find "Democrat." Closest I find is: "Akiltism [Note from MHM Staff ] — We were unable to find any solid information about this disorder. Our best guess is that this disorder was once used as a catch-all for unknown diagnoses, it seems to be based on the word โ€œakilterโ€ meaning off-kilter or unbalanced." That of course would apply to the wellness therapist who dreamed this up, not the students.

Remember, this generation had moms who babied them, pampered them, and made every excuse possible when they reacted inappropriately to not getting their way. Makes sense that those same moms probably initiated this with the university president. The real world and their world is not connected.

I believe this is what that same crowd refers to as a "micro aggression." Political affiliation is a protected class in Virginia, the legal equivalent of race, gender, religion etc., etc. Might conservative students take this as a veiled attack on their beliefs? Imagine:

"Student Health and Wellness understands that Black History Month celebrations may feel personal and overwhelming. Our individual support sessions are aimed to ensure every student feels heard and supported by creating a safe space for students to share their feelings, experiences, and needs related to mental health."

The day after the 2016 election some faculty at Virginia The cancelled classes. Others who held lass used some or all of the class period to give students an opportunity to talk about their feelings.
