On November 16, the author revised previous articles on the nursing homes in the Eastern, Central, and Southwest regions to provide better data and explain it better in a much-revised spreadsheet.
The format the author chose previously wasn’t getting the job done, so he changed it.
The new one should provide more clarity. The spreadsheet is designed to be self-explanatory. The sums and averages line at the bottom of each shows regional results.
Changes in the text were made only to reflect the updated spreadsheet.
And yes, on average, the Central Region has the worst nursing homes, driven by the outsized presence of the worst chains.
Articles on the Northern and Northwestern regions will quickly follow.
