    The cluelessness is not surprising at all. I grew up in Salem, and in a snit of well-deserved, perpetual civic hubris, we always looked upon Roanoke as….well…having one wing dragging.

    Looks like a useful resource is getting an upgrade. 2.5 million is not bad for a bridge. Warren County has one of those low water bridges. The old one was cool and a bit of a challenge. The new one is nice is used heavily by locals.
