I wouldn’t want to be a Democrat right now.

What am I saying, I wouldn’t want to be a Dem ever.

But right now they’re in a bind.

On one hand, Dems want to keep the government shutdown going until after Election Day. They’re counting on angry federal workers to deliver a Virginia victory. (And no, they don’t care that the workers may be out of money and ready to miss mortgage payments. Do you really think uber wealthy Democrats like Mark Warner have any idea what it’s like to struggle to pay their bills?)

On the other hand, their ridiculous chorus of Republicans control both houses of Congress and the White House so this is their shutdown isn’t working.
