The answer is easy, elect Youngkin.

“What we’re seeing happening in our schools is really frustrating,” Youngkin told the Washington Examiner. “Not just from being closed, but on top of that, the way the curriculum is being dominated by the Left. The fact is that we haven’t had any school choice in Virginia to any degree at all.”

He added, “And yet, Virginia families want to have a choice. They want to say, ‘I want my child to go to school across town at a different public school, or stay in the public school or try a private school or even home school,’ and Virginia has eight charter schools in the entire commonwealth, and North Carolina has 190.”

    School choice is the answer.

Engaged parents want safe schools and they understand that SROs make the schools safer. They should have a choice.

Go read the opinion by the RVA School Board member Kenya Gibson in the Richmond Free Press. Itโ€™s pretty great. The Cliffโ€™s Notes version is that VDOE and everyone else should back off because the School Board is majority Black women and they know best.
I agree. These are their kids and they were elected to have their voice.
I only ask that they own their decisions.

    1. I agree BWEC: we’ll see discipline problems increase, truancy increase, learning decrease, test scores drop and a generation of learning lost… another white supremacist victory in the inner city. Time will tell which is right, but those hurt most will never regain what will be lost.

There are not enough Glenn Ford’s left to cover the important work of SROs. Haven’t we already been down this road? Is it really necessary to learn the lesson the hard way again?

Of course it is. America’s liberals are engaged in a massive game of distraction. Their simple-minded approach to improving our schools has failed and, in many cases, backfired. They have no actual answers to the worsening education in America. So, they dream up absurd ideas and philosophies to distract people from their long running failures.

Implement Critical Race Theory and …. the schools will get better at teaching students?

Eliminate the SROs and …. the schools will get better at teaching students?

The next time y0u see a liberal politician discussing education – imagine a gas gauge on their forehead. The needle is pointing to “Empty”.

Next, and I am serious as a heart attack:
“eliminate standardized tests and we wonโ€™t have to answer to the villagers.โ€

It is already in the woke pipeline.

This has already happened. SOLS were an option this year and last year. Most students could and did opt out.

The question is next year. No COVID excuse.
