Hailey Dollar represents an unrecognizable brand of Republicanism. But she’s not a provocateur. She seems absolutely sincere.

New racy photos have emerged of Hailey Dollar, the Newport News mother of four and Army veteran who is seeking the Republican nomination for House of Delegates in the June 17 primary.
The photos were sent anonymously to Bacon’s Rebellion following our initial article on Dollar ran on May 7. They show her in various stages of undress. (We have made an editorial decision to publish only the tamest one. Trust us, the others are raunchier. — JAB)
In an interview, Dollar said the photos were from a pole dancing competition at Pure Pleasure Gentlemen’s Club in Richmond in 2016.
“The whole feature show was on the theme of Good vs. Evil,” the 35-year-old mother of four girls said. “I was supposed to be ‘bad’ in black. I got third place because I wouldn’t expose myself.”
Dollar, who says she was sexually abused by a grandparent when she was about 5, says pole dancing is “good athleticism and a form of art.”
She also acknowledged in the interview she was on OnlyFans.com, which is a web site that enables content providers to provide pornographic movies and photos for a fee.
“I tried it for 3 months and took it down because I was sick of being harassed,” she said.
She said she never did any pornographic films “that involved penetration,” just some provocative photos and some videos with high end lingerie mopping a floor or making a fruit salad.”
Dollar, who has done fetish photos, says she was never a Democrat; “always been a conservative,” especially a 2A supporter. (She works for a gun shop in York County and holds a federal license to sell firearms).
However, she holds positions on LGBTQ issues that may seem counter to the GOP position.
She said transgender kids in schools should be allowed to use unisex handicapped bathroom because “we have to protect the other kids.” She said transgenderism is listed as a mental illness on Medicaid Medicare ICD9 codes. Dollar was an Army medic and holds four health-related degrees.
As for drag queen book readings to young children, Dollar said: “I am all about parental choice” and if a parent feels uncomfortable about this, they should be allowed to remove their kids from it.”
Asked about teaching sex ed in K-2 grades, Dollar said parents should be allowed to opt out and that racy reading material should require a parental permission slip for students to take out from libraries.
A first-time candidate for public office, Dollar also disclosed she has never voted in her life. “I registered to vote when I was in Iraq and never got my absentee ballot.”
Writer’s note: Regarding the first article on Hailey Dollar, I received some criticism from Republican activists who got the impression that I was making equivalence between John Reid and Hailey Dollar. That was not my intent. John Reid is a long time conservative, son of a former GOP delegate, former communications director for George Allen, and has a great radio talk show. He does not deserve the grief he is getting nor did he deserve what Glenn Youngkin and Matt Moran did to him. There is no comparison between Dollar and Reid.
What is equivalent is the negative reaction both are getting from segments of the GOP base because of their background involving LGBTQ issues, plus Dollar’s racy photos and her sidekick doing fetish modeling. In that regard, they are not “traditional Republican” candidates in Virginia. I think I mentioned that there is no evidence Reid posted photos and there were none of him, but there are of Dollar.
I will be supporting Reid and working hard to elect him, and other Republican candidates, notably Winsome Sears and Jason Miyares. Thanks, Ken Reid.
