When I went to the The Washington Post website this morning, a huge pop-up ad for West Virginia busted through my pop-up blocker and covered my screen: “More Bonding Than the Federal Reserve.” Oh, please.

Virginia should change its slogan to “Virginia is for Heterosexuals.” We’d probably bring in a lot of tourists from Utah.
Being from Lynchburg Virginia, I might report, that there maybe a move to change the state slogan to Virginia is for Virgins. Its unconfirmed that this may originate from a Church here, that also wants to reset the geological clock, by disputing carbon dating. Carbon dating, in Lynchburg, was another form of getting to know someone which is now frowned upon by the Church. Local religious authorities considered it might impede their efforts in establishing the Virginia is for Virgins slogan.
