   Sorry, with the funeral underway all the attacks on Jimmy Carter are off putting. He is the last of the WW2 generation, in uniform as of 1943, with a commendable military record in the post war years. One of Rickover's boys. Biden? Obama? Trump? Nope. The inflation was raging already in 1976, a major reason Ford lost (along with the Nixon pardon), and perhaps he was too supportive of the Shah as Iran collapsed into a theocracy. He walked the talk of the good Christian life and for that he should be saluted by all conservatives. Not sure which is scarcer, Christians or true conservatives.
