I’ve got some Scottish ancestry, but apparently not enough. Never had whiskey served to me as a kid.

I did. An uncle gave me a small, and do mean small, whiskey sour when I was 7. When I was 8, we lived in France, and in those days, children were served wine in restaurants and cafes. You really didn’t want to drink the water.

There’s no “e” in whisky in Scotland. Good whisky doesn’t need an “e”. But it’s a good meme although I didn’t get whisky at home when I was a kid either:)
