    Good!!! Someone maybe is reading ALL sides of the issue and asking questions. When the federal govt. mandates vaccines but allows an open border, people here illegally to fly without ID, you know the issue is one of control and power, NOT health. I bet the true science has never been challenged in court.

      I fundamentally disagree, Vic.

      Healthcare workers and school employees have one thing in common: each provide services to people who cannot fulfill their health care and educational needs at home. Virginia has compulsory school attendance. Home health care is not a realistic option for many afflictions.

      It is therefore right and necessary in my view to require health care workers and school personnel to get vaccinated. Not just against COVID, but against all communicable diseases for which there is risk in America and for which there are effective vaccines.

      Remember polio?

      The COVID vaccine has proven the most effective vaccine against severe illness and death from a respiratory disease since the polio vaccine.

      The common cold is a viral infection of the upper respiratory tract for which there is no vaccine. The CDC estimates that 36,000 people die from the flu or flu-like illness each year.

      The cold falls under flu-like illnesses.

      With the vaccine, COVID-19 will still be around, but now its worst effects are preventable.

      I suspect it will be merged into the annual flu shot at some point.

        Capt with all due respect, until they change fundamentally the way errors/mistakes are handled, they don’t have a leg to stand on. The massive coverups, gags on payoffs, and blatant forging of records, all kinds of stuff to hide things like thalidomide, the risk management lawyers, if they’re not stopping that, they’re not truly looking out for us.

        Considering people still get the disease, no excuse. At least 1/2 of America doesn’t get the flu shot.
