For years, government and special interest groups have climed that new development does not pay it’s own way.
Now the home demand is so great that developers can afford to raise their proffers and include more amenities including sewer and roads. With the builders putting thair money (and their customers money) where the supervisor’s mouth is the words that come out still amount to “No.”
This is getting out of hand. Eventually there will be so much money at stake some developer will offer to buy the entire county, lock, stock and government.
Then he can propose to build an entire balanced community from scratch and supply all the roads, sewer, schools and infrastructure.
Naturally he will expect to make a profit on all those things. Wouldn’t it be cheaper just to let the government do it?
