I’m a little surprised to see Sandston weigh station pavement renovations (1,171,000). That’s a new station and interesting because the roads in Seven Pines, not even a mile up the road, are almost unpassable. Is there somewhere that provides more detail on the renovations?
The Dept. of General Services hired a consultant to produce a study about restoring or replacing the 8th and 9th street office buildings in Richmond. These are historic and architecturally significant buildings that the state has allowed to fall into disrepair. The consultant’s study concluded that it would be better to restore both buildings than to tear them down and build a new structure. Why is this not mentioned in the budget?
