I saw that, too. I may have to hire him: maybe he can negotiate a better deal than I now have with the county. To wit: you WILL farm even if you lose your shirt, you WILL NOT do anything else whatsoever, other than GIVE US a perpetual easement to look over your shoulder, or SELL OUT ENTIRELY to someone wealthy enough to give us an easement at taxpayer expense.
Other than I’m pretty sure it will not work, it’s a collossal waste of time, and offer no real savings, I don’t have a problem with smart growth unless it is 100% at my expense.

In exchange for this wonderful deal, the county tells me I’m paying $3 in tax for every dollar in services, and they claim I’m saving them $178,000/year by not building a bunch of houses.
If they would fix my tax rate and gave me 10% of what they claim I’m saving them, it would cover my farm losses and I’d shut up.
