Kaine TV Ads

View Tim Kaine’s current television ads. One touts his tax-cuts-for-homeowners plan. The other stars Kaine’s kids talking about what a great dad they have. It’s very appealing — bouncy music, spunky kids, funny lines. It makes Kaine look like the kind of guy you’d love to have as your next door neighbor.

Both ads are accessible through the home page of the Kaine for Governor home page.

Actually, in one of the ads slick spokespeople do most of the talking. 🙂

    These commercials are fluff.

At best, it’s a twinkie ‘defensive’ campaign against Kilgore’s veteran campaign corp, which have ‘sliced & diced’ the voice issue in the past few weeks.

But I must admit, the Kaine’s staff does a better job at hiding Tim’s bald spot with the TV commercials, then Kilgore’s people do with his southwestern Virginia voice on the radio ads.

Do you actually think this “Wahhh!!! You hurt my feelings!!!” strategy is working for Kilgore???

It’s weird science, but the Kilgore newspaper ads scolding Kaine for making fun of his accent were pretty darn effective. Most Virginians have been offended by the Kaine ads.

Rural Virginians don’t appreciate Yankees or ‘come-heres’ who have settled in Northern Virginia — but more so, Hollywood stereotypes depicting any southern gentlemen as a dumb redneck.

  8. “Most Virginians have been offended by the Kaine ads”????

    1. No one heard them. Most Virginians don’t even know who Tim Kaine is, let alone that he put out ads, let alone the content of those ads.

    2. People who did hear them probably said, “Oh. An attack ad.”

    3. Kilgore’s press people going out and whining “Stop making fun of our candidate’s voice!” can’t possibly help him…
