Our
Humblest Apologies
While
we're begging forgiveness for slavery, genocide and other assorted sins of
our ancestors , there
are a few other offenses that Virginians should express
contrition for.
Happy
New Year, Culture Warriors. We're making
progress.
York
County public schools acknowledged the
official U.S. and Virginia holiday of
Christmas this year, a strong step up thanks
to activist, concerned citizens.
Christians
are not letting go of William and Mary’s
arbitrary cultural cleansing of the cross from
the Wren Chapel. Conservative pundit Dinesh
D'Souza hopes to debate President Gene Nichol,
or another William and Mary representative, at
a campus forum on Feb. 1. Read more here.
But
the same liberals who decried the Marriage
Amendment last year as a distraction from the
serious governance of Virginia want the General
Assembly to pass a resolution apologizing for
slavery and to the Indians. This is so funny.
Or
it would be if the liberals weren't making it a
wedge vote to depict opponents as racists and
secret slavers (who no doubt say "macaca"
in secret meetings).
You
can’t apologize for something you didn’t do,
unless you just lie. That's not hard for liberals
because they don’t recognize absolute truth, but
it should be difficult for Virginia legislators,
even the Democrats. Most Virginians expect better
than intellectually dishonest, symbolic, sophistry
from the General Assembly.
It’s
even more dishonest because the 400th anniversary
of slavery in Virginia isn’t until 2019. The liberals
are rushing it by 12 years to cash in on the
attention of Jamestown.
Apologizing
for something you didn’t do to people who
aren’t alive is ridiculous.
I
think I’ll apologize for the Muslim attacks on
every neighbor since the Hegira. Yes, I apologize
for every Muslim genocide since 627 AD. And every
invasion. And every battle, massacre, forced
conversion and oppression of Christians and Jews
(and pagans, Buddhists and Hindus).
In
case any Republicans are so clueless or cowardly
to go along with a resolution mocking good
government and commonsense, here is a draft of
what the Resolution should be.
Virginia’s
Apology to Black Virginians
Be
It Resolved, We apologize for:
•
the Muslims who ran the slave trade in Africa and
still traffic in black African slaves – when
they are not committing genocide against black
Africans.
•
the black African tribes who raided and sold
fellow blacks into slavery.
•
the Yankees and Brits who got rich transferring
the black Africans in slave ships that killed so
many persons.
•
the Virginians who introduced the black Africans
to technology which leap-frogged them over 2000
years forward from their former miserable state.
•
the Virginians who presented the Good News of
Jesus Christ to black Africans – bringing
eternal salvation to generations and a
life-changing transformation of the human heart
for the best thing there is – Christianity in a
personal relationship with God.
•
sharing the ideas of freedom and opportunity which
is now black political thought and culture. And so
today’s leading intellectuals, Conservatives
all, are black.
•
the Virginians who freed their slaves over the
years.
•
the free blacks and Indians who owned slaves.
•
the black Virginians who defended Virginia against
armed invaders in over 2000 combats on Virginia
soil. And the 6 out of 7 black slaves who never
left home after invading Armies conquered, but
worked to provide for their families and the
soldiers in the field.
•
the black Virginians who died of starvation or
hunger–related diseases following the Yankee war
crimes of burning The Valley, destroying farms in
Mosby’s Confederacy and across the Commonwealth
•
the Democrat Party which championed slavery,
segregation and racism -- and still promotes the
racism of lowered expectations, race-based
privilege with affirmative action quotas and set
asides for ‘diversity’.
•
the race-pimp politicians who make a living out of
the color of their skin and saying blacks are
victims -- weaklings whose black ancestors, real
men and women, would punch in the face.
•
the entertainers, cowards in the church, and all
who profit from the sub-culture’s coin but
don’t change it so more than two out of three
black babies are born out of wedlock and on the
road to failure... for the inability to demand men
marry women and stay married to father children
– work hard, not abuse alcohol, use drugs or
engage in the social pathologies so that blacks
kill blacks more than the Klan ever did.
•
the actual black Virginians, themselves – who in
the whole history of the world… NEVER has one
group of people lifted itself so far, so fast, so
high, so well, with such dignity over such hurdles
from 1865 to the 1960s – and without an apology
from the people who actually owned slaves or
instituted Jim Crow segregation.
•
bringing people out of Africa and, as Booker T.
Washington said, “Up From Slavery,” instead of
letting them stay in Africa where they could live
in the basket case countries mired in poverty,
disease, and dictators, tribal war, and violence.
Virginia’s
Apology to Amer-Indian Virginians
Be
It Resolved, We apologize for:
•
your massacres of white and black men, women,
children.
•
signing a treaty with the Pamunkey and
Chickahominy to protect you from the Delaware
Indians who were going to kill all of you.
•
the children, cattle and horses you stole in
raids.
•
bringing you from the Stone Age to the most modern
society in the world.
•
the Virginians who presented the Good News of
Jesus Christ to Amer-Indians – bringing eternal
salvation to generations and a life-changing
transformation of the human heart for the best
thing there is – Christianity in a personal
relationship with God.
•
not putting you on reservations where government-
sponsored socialism destroys the soul and shortens
lives in alcoholism and despair.
•
not demeaning your sub-culture and robbing fellow
citizens who can least afford it with tax-free
gambling dens.
•
assimilating you as Virginians for over 300 years
in Tidewater and 200 years in the western parts of
the Commonwealth.
Happy
Lee-Jackson Day (Jan 12th) and Dr. Martin Luther
King Jr. Day (Jan 15th)! Fight the good fight for
all Virginians.
